When Bob and Alana met in 1999, the first thing they saw in each other was a shared dream. Both had pursued a career in music as their first choice. Both had ultimately refused to give up their idealistic love of performing, and had turned away from the business to succeed in other fields. United first in marriage, their relationship ultimately led to their pursuit of this dream together.

Alana
Alana Miller - Lead Vocals

Alana's band, The Outcasts, was one of of Rochester's top club bands in the eighties. She led them to New York, where they played clubs like the Lion's Den, Atlantis and West End Gate. When The Outcasts broke up Alana stayed on to lead other bands and act off Broadway. Returning to Rochester via the Middle East, she's raising a family and writing songs about love and life. She brings a smooth, sultry presence to the band's sound.

Bob Bob Miller - Guitar & Vocals

In London in the late seventies, Bob played pubs and worked as a session guitarist. Returning to the States, he attended the Berklee School of Music to pursue a career in the studios. This proved to be poor timing, since live studio musicians were quickly being displaced by computers. Deciding to switch rather than fight, Bob built The Rochester Group, a software company. However, he never stopped listening and learning. A funk and blues player by nature, Bob provides a solid foundation for Alana's vocals. Since founding Blue Avengers with Alana, Bob has built a recording studio and is studying at the Eastman School of Music.

Chris
Chris Ott - Keyboards & Vocals

Chris On Keys has been playing piano since the age of 4. He attended the Bradley Music Institute in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and has played in many notable bands in Rochester and Buffalo, NY, including: The Touch, The Q, Rock Bottom, and Boys Lie and the acoustic rock duo, Lane & Ott. He is also the proud father of twins. They are pounding away at the keys just like their dad.

Chris Chris Northington - Bass

Chris On Bass lists jazz, blues, pop, country, rock, hip-hop, neo soul, big band, latin and gospel as his principal musical styles. I wonder what he doesn't play. He's studied with Bob Stata, Milt Hinton and Ray Brown and has performed throughout the world. Chris currently studies at the Eastman School of Music, teaches privately, and his comments have appeared in Bass Player magazine.

Kristen Kristen Shiner McGuire - Drums

Kristen has been the Coordinator of Percussion Studies at Nazareth College since 1984. She is a published author and composer as well as a performing musician and clinician. She holds a Masters Degree in Percussion Performance and a Performer's Certificate from the Eastman School of Music and has studied marimba in Japan with virtuoso Keiko Abe. In addition to Blue Avengers, she currently performs with the Maelstrom Percussion Ensemble, the RPO Marimba Band, Kind of Blue trio.
